At Epic Church, we’re unpacking all the times in the Bible where the number 12 occurs. It’s fascinating! Christ invested in 12 lives and we will follow His example this summer by using the 12 weeks of summer to impact 12 lives for Him.

The Mexicali Mission Team (including my daughter Becca and the youth from Epic) made The Detroit Free Press Today….
More than 40 metro Detroiters on a youth ministry trip to Mexico found themselves close to the epicenter of an earthquake there that also shook parts of California and Arizona.
None of the 42 people — eight are adults and the remainder mostly high school students — was injured when the quake struck around 3:40 p.m. Sunday. It damaged roads and buildings in Mexicali, a city close to the U.S. border.

Last week, Epic continued the MythBusters Series. We engaged the magnum opus of God’s creative genius, our mind. So many times Christians wade around in the shallow end of challenging questions which is a shame. We are called to not just love the Lord your God with all your heart, but also with all your mind (Luke 10:27). Loving God with half your mind doesn’t cut it. A half-minded Christian is no better than half-hearted one. So we engaged our mind fully and busted four bigtime science myths.
1. The scientific method makes the belief in God obsolete.
2. Science is the enemy of religion.
3.To become a Christian, you have to check your brain at the door.
4. The scientific method can answer the deepest questions about life.
